How to Dress for Fall Family Portraits

Fall is the perfect time of year to get an updated Family Portrait for wall portraits for your home or to share on a Holiday card. Many of our locations offer options for outdoor or indoor mini sessions. You can also contact your local SRP franchise about a custom family session option.

We have 5 tips to help you plan a successful Family Portrait Day for your Family

1. Choose One Patterned Outfit & Match Solids to it

Patterns draw your attention to the subject. Try to keep your patterns to a minimum.

2. Try Outfits On

Make sure clothing fits each family member properly before showing up for your family portrait session.

3. Keep it Classic

Avoid clothing with words or big logos that can be distracting or quickly go out of style.

4. Remember Accessories

Hair bows, belts, jewelry, and hats are all great ways to add personality and style to the look of your family portrait.

5. Shoes to Finish Your Outfits

Make sure everyone has coordinating or matching shoes before picture day.
