(Guest post)
Without exception, no matter what’s going on in their lives, they still want pictures of the kids.
Even outside forces, like bad weather, a down economy, or (as of this writing) a pandemic- can’t change their need to see and have photos of the kids.
But it’s not really “photos” they want.
It’s the glorious feeling they’ll have when they see and touch them along with the instant memories they create.
So what does this mean for you?
And who are “they?”
I’ll show you.
Parents, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles And Close Friends
That’s who “they” are. And they want to see (and have) pictures of their:
- Children
- Grandchildren
- Nieces/Nephews
- Friend’s kids
And they want high-quality pictures, like the ones trained photographers can produce.
Photos Of Kids Create Instant Memories
Just in case I missed the mark in describing the importance people place on having photos of the kids around, check out what Amy Lee, an avid photo-book creator, says about children’s photos.
“In the hectic pace of modern family life we can forget what kids looked like only a year earlier. Images not only give us a glimpse into the past, but they can also bring us back to the moment in an instant. Remember how proud you felt when your child was a newborn and how perfectly they fit in your arms? Photos bring you back to those feelings when the photos were made.”
In addition, she thinks that “photos are too precious to live on computers.” What do you think?
You Can Help Create Those Instant Memories
Now that you understand how important it is to have photos (especially children’s photos) around, can you picture (I had to) yourself getting involved in the business of providing them? How?

Are You Skeptical?
Maybe you’re a bit skeptical. I get it.
For instance, maybe you’re questioning whether or not there are enough people around who are willing to pay for photography sessions for their kids. If that’s the case, I understand. But here’s the thing.
As the owner of a Spoiled Rotten Photography franchise in your local area, you’ll only be targeting high-end daycares and preschools. These are the schools where parents have above average incomes and can easily afford your personalized photo sessions along with the beautiful prints you’ll be offering soon after the sessions are completed.
Here’s another question you may have:
“Do people really buy photos?”
For that answer, I invite you to look around your own home. How many picture frames (containing pictures!) do you count?
FYI: I just walked around my house and counted 48 framed pictures on the 1st level of our house. In addition, there are about a dozen more pictures downstairs, and of course, some of the picture frames have more than one picture.
Similarly, the next time you’re out visiting friends and/or family, count the pictures that are on display. You may be surprised at the number.
And guess what? Someone purchased them. Trust me, money definitely changed hands somewhere.
The bottom line?Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and close friends want photos of the kids…and they always will. No matter what’s going on in their lives.
