Franchise FAQs
Why is SRP the Best Photography Franchise?
At Spoiled Rotten Photography, you become a member of our family when you become a franchisee. We’ll give you the tools, training, and ongoing guidance to build a lasting, successful business where you create beautiful and authentic portraits that today’s professional families demand. We only make money after your sales are complete — not by printing portraits that you may (or may not) sell.
In 2022 and 2023, we earned the Franchise Owner Satisfaction Award from Franchise Business Review!
How Much
Does it Cost?
The total investment required for a Spoiled Rotten franchise is extremely reasonable! At a range of $42,500 – $58,300, it could be less than a new midsize sedan. The franchise fee is $39K, and the full equipment package, if needed, is less than $12K. Remember, this is a home-based business, so there are no required build-out costs typically associated with a brick-and-mortar concept. More details about how to open a photo studio are available HERE.
Is Photography
Experience Required?
Do you know how to take a picture? If so, you’re off to a great start! All our franchise owners bring their own unique talents to the table. Some have a great head for business, others are a whiz at marketing, but we all have an appreciation for the art of photography and a love for working with children. No matter your skill level behind the camera, our exclusive training program will teach you how to open a photo studio and capture beautiful, timeless portraits.
Do You Have an
Annual Conference?
We gather as a franchise family each year – typically in January. We feel very strongly about our family bonds, and this focused meeting strengthens our connection to one another and provides a dedicated time for us to learn new skills and strengthen our photography and business skills.
One of our core values is advocacy — we seek ways to honor and lift up people who are marginalized. During our annual conference, we find a way to serve. For the last couple of years, we’ve visited homeless shelters and blessed the families with beautiful portraits of their children. Catch up on our previous SRP annual conferences: 2022, 2020, 2019, 2018, 2017
Can I Keep
My Current Job?
Can I Work
Out of My Home?
Definitely! We are a home-based business. There is no need for a brick-and-mortar studio. Field work is often required for photo sessions and calls on potential clients, which is why the SRP mobile studio system has been specifically designed to allow our franchisees to work from home and be able to spend more time with their families.
Can I Use
My Photography Gear?
It’s a distinct possibility – particularly if you’re already a professional photographer in your own right. However, we have very specific and high standards for the equipment we use at Spoiled Rotten Photography to appropriately capture the quality images our clients have come to expect. You may use your existing equipment if it meets our standards.
What Training
Will I Receive?
What Ongoing Support
Will I Receive?
We will help you launch your local photography business by helping you discover the photography opportunities in your territory and get the ball rolling on account acquisition. Then, we come to you! We’ll walk you through your first photography event and reinforce everything you learned at owner’s training. But it doesn’t end there – we will continue to coach and support you as you grow your team and expand your SRP franchise.
